The installation method of the hydraulic cylinder refers to the connection method between the hydraulic cylinder and the machinery equipment.
The installation method of the hydraulic cylinder plays an important role in the performance of the hydraulic cylinder. We can choose the appropriate installation method according to the working conditions.
01. Flange type
Flange, also called flange plate, is a part used to connect pipes to each other. There are holes on the flange for bolts. There are rectangular flanges, square flanges, round flanges and other types.
According to the different positions of flanges, there are head flanges, middle flanges, and tail flanges:
Head flange, the flange is set at the end of the hydraulic cylinder and fastened to the mechanical mounting surface with bolts. When the hydraulic cylinder is working, the mounting bolts are not subjected to much force, and are mainly supported by the mounting support surface. The flange diameter is small and the structure is relatively compact. This installation method is more commonly used in fixed installation forms.
Middle flange: the flange is set in the middle position of the hydraulic cylinder.
Tail flange, the flange is set at the bottom of the hydraulic cylinder and fastened to the mechanical mounting surface with bolts. This installation form makes the hydraulic cylinder overhang, the installation length is large, and the stability is poor.
Flange connection is suitable for transmitting linear force and has the advantage of being very strong.
02. Base type
The base is a component of the hydraulic support, which is in direct contact with the base plate and transmits the support force of the support to the base plate.
The base type hydraulic cylinder fastens the head and tail ends of the hydraulic cylinder to the base, and there are left and right base types and front and rear base types. The left and right base type places the base on the left and right sides of the hydraulic cylinder, perpendicular to the axis of the piston rod.
Front and rear base type, place the base in front of the end cover and bottom of the hydraulic cylinder, in line with the axis direction of the piston rod.
03. Earring type
The earring type hydraulic cylinder connects the earring on the hydraulic cylinder with the earring on the machine with a pin. The earring can be at the end or tail of the hydraulic cylinder, or at both ends; it can be a single earring or a double earring, and can also be made into a single earring or a double earring with a spherical bearing.
The earring connection type hydraulic cylinder is different from the ordinary hydraulic cylinder in that the earring pin is used as the fulcrum and the swing center, the hydraulic cylinder can swing in the plane perpendicular to the pin, and do reciprocating linear motion at the same time. It has the advantages of easy to install and disassemble, easy to use, easy to process and can be used in various equipment, so the earring connection method is one of the most common methods.
04. Pin type
Pins are a type of standardized fasteners, mainly used at the hinge of two parts to form a hinge connection.
The pins of the hydraulic cylinder are installed in three types head pin, middle pin and tail pin.
The pin is usually locked with a split pin reliable operation and easy disassembly. The hydraulic cylinder can swing in the vertical plane.
05. Ball head type
Connect the ball head at the tail of the hydraulic cylinder to the ball seat on the machine so that the hydraulic cylinder can swing arbitrarily within a certain spatial range.
The ball head type hydraulic cylinder has a large degree of freedom in installation, but poor stability.
The installation methods of the cylinder bottom and the rod end can be selected and combined for application. Multiple cylinders in one equipment can be installed in different ways according to the installation space.
